Onur Yıldırımer

He started his art and science education in Istanbul. He received mentorship on the art of calligraphy from Dr. Ali Rıza Özcan, a faculty member of the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts Academy. In 2012, he was accepted to the Üsküdar Bağlarbaşı Turkish Islamic Arts Specialization Center, where he completed his three-year calligraphy art education. He continued his art education with important artists such as Etem Çalışkan, Dr. Savaş Çevik and Ömer Faruk Dere. He graduated from the Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education in 2013. He completed his thesis-based master's degree, which he started at the same university, in 2017 as a high honor student. He also successfully graduated from the Istanbul University, Department of Graphic Design. He participated in many group exhibitions in the country. He worked as a calligraphy instructor in many workshops in the nationally and abroad. Between 2015- 2019, he worked as a master instructor in calligraphy at the İSMEK, the 58th Bulvar and Fındıkzade Turkish Islamic Arts Center. He successfully completed his 'Artificial Intelligence in Design' training at the Academy of Arts and Design in London. In 2023, he was granted the title of state artist by the Republic of Turkiye's Ministry of Culture and Tourism as an 'Intangible Cultural Heritage Carrier' in the field of Calligraphy Art. Yıldırımer, who is currently continuing his doctoral studies at the Marmara University, also continues his calligraphy education with Dr. Savaş Çevik and has been teaching calligraphy at the Istanbul Design Center since 2019.
